Sleepaway Camp 40th Anniversary Book

We have some very exciting news this summer as we get closer to the 40th anniversary of SLEEPAWAY CAMP in November! 1984 Publishing is releasing the Brand New Hardcover Collector’s book: SLEEPAWAY CAMP: MAKING THE MOVIE AND REIGNITING THE CAMPFIRE (it will also be available on Kindle) this October!

The first half of the book gives an extensive chronicle of the MAKING OF the movie back in 1982 (with brand new interviews, interviews from over the years- including our beloved Desiree Gould, and never-before-seen on-set Polaroids), aftermath of the theatrical release, home video releases, and the second half takes you on a backstage tour of all the events that led to the resurrection of the best slasher film of the 1980s! We also take a look at tracking down the cast/crew back in the late 90’s/early 2000’s, the sequels, and even the recent Arawak tours (and screenings) at the actual location where the movie was shot.
